Angels-Demons in Helsinki at night

On a light-filled night in June, Nurminen Logistics, member to the Cargo Equipment Experts CEE network in Finland, transported two glossy black, newborn, lizard-tail-sporting giant, each 6 ton heavy, babies to the Tennis Palace in the centre of Helsinki. The outdoor sculptures featured in the Happy End? exhibition at the Helsinki Art Museum will be available for public viewing until 25 August 2013.

Nurminen Logistics took on transporting the babies like any other oversized or demanding item – the company has extensive experience in transporting various museum pieces and museum buildings. The babies that arrived in the centre of Helsinki on the night of the 17th of June departed from Italy, carried by the vehicles of Nurminen Logistics’ partner, and were reloaded onto two Nurminen Logistics platforms in Germany. The statues were erected at night to minimise the disruption to traffic flow.

The sculptures have previously been seen in places such as Lille, France, and Melbourne, Australia.
