BATI Shipping and Trading SA was awarded The Best International Maritime Transport Company of the year 2012

3. Logistics prizes of Turkey have been delivered to its owners. BATI Shipping and Trading SA was awarded The Best International Maritime Transportation Company prize of the year 2012 .

Being the leading company in Turkish logistics sector, Bati Shipping and Trading SA has attended to 6. Logitrans Transport and Logistics Exhibition, Istanbul where they were awarded with “The Best International Maritime Transportation Company” Award. There were 13 different categories in Logitrans Logistics Awards and were evaluated by a grand jury composed of UND, UTIKAD, DTD, UKAT, TÜRKLIM, as KTDD ARLOD and sectoral associations, industry publications and industry representatives of non-governmental organizations. Not only 20 years logistics industry experience, Bati Transport and Trading was rewarded the award but also its successful work and 400% revenue raise in last 3 years, 250% growth in total transport capacity of the seaway, 150% increase in airway and total 200% increase in the break bulk cargo. Also 7th domestic branch office opened in 2012 in Bursa/Gemlik and Bati Group announced the news of opening one more in 2013.

The jury rated “The Best International Maritime Transportation Company of the year” category by investigating the Total Turnover (USD), Number of Employees, International Maritime Transportation Volume in TEUs and Gross weight in TONs criteria and also the best growth in last 3 years. The award ceremony was held on 16 November 2012 at Istanbul Expo Center with the participation of Turkish Deputy Minister of Economy Mr. Mustafa Sever. Bati Shipping and Trading SA?s prize given by the President of ARLOD Adnan Agacli to The General Manager of the company M.Sc. Harun TOPALOGLU.

Carried out under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy Ceremony and with the participation of Deputy Economy Minister Mr. Mustafa Sever; total of 10 companies received the award. Turkey’s largest logisticians and logistics projects, as determined by a special jury on behalf of Turkish Transportation and Maritime Ministry and Turkish Communication Ministry, are evaluated according to the turnover of firms, number of employees, number of branches, number of vehicles, number of voyages, number of TEU, TONs, B/Ls and also warehouse space, additional value services, 4PL activities in the competition.
