The Cargo Equipment Experts CEE network’s Florida member Crane Rental Corporation’s excellent safety record has recently earned recognition from a number of industry organizations.

The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) awarded Crane Rental Corporation six safety awards. In the Crane & Rigging Group, Crane Rental Corporation won the overall Safety Award, Safety Improvement Award, and Zero Accidents Award. In the Transportation Group, they earned Best Safety Record in the 1.5 to 5 million mile category, the Safety Improvement Award, and Zero Accidents Award.

The United Safety Council (USC) awarded Crane Rental Corporation the Gold Fleet Safety Award for outstanding driver safety performance, and the Gold Outstanding Lost-Time Prevention Award recognizing more than 36 months without a lost-time incident. Crane Rental Corporation also earned Honorable Mentions for the Lost-Time Prevention Award and the Corporate Safety Award.

Finally, the Florida Trucking Association’s Safety Management Council, in cooperation with American Trucking Associations, presented Crane Rental Corporation with the Great West Safety Award for “outstanding achievement in highway safety”. Crane Rental Corporation came in first place in the Under 5,000,000 Miles Bulk/Other category.

All of Crane Rental Corporation’s employees participate in a Safety Incentive Program (SIP). The program measures each employee’s safe behavior and professionalism in several key categories. “Our employees are thoroughly trained and work hard to keep our jobsites safe,” Crane Rental Corporation safety director Mike Smith said. “We are proud to receive recognition for their faithful effort.” Crane Rental Corporation maintains an industry-leading Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.63.
