Finnish heavy haulage operator Nurminen Logistics, member to the Cargo Equipment Experts CEE network in Finland, also transports heavy items that need to be protected from the cold.

The frost may well bite, but using Nurminen’s heated transport fleet, items that are sensitive to the cold can be transported at temperatures of 0 to –20 degrees Celsius, irrespective of the outside temperature.
Nurminen’s fleet is suitable for versatile heavy loads and includes heated trailers and containers, the size of which can be selected according to the customer’s needs. Europe’s largest and most modern heated transport container can be used to transport loads up to 120 tonnes on a modular platform.

Differing from the normal transport fleet, items can be loaded from the top, the rear or the side of the transport unit. The temperature of the delivery can be set to 0–20 degrees Celsius, irrespective of the temperature outside. Lately, Nurminen has delivered specially coated paper machine rolls as heated transports to Finland and countries such as Russia and Germany and the weight range of the rolls has been from 7 tonnes to over 80 tonnes.
