Heavy and overdimensional vaporizer movement in India

Express Global Logistics (EXG), India, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC), executed a critical movement of a 78 ton single piece of vaporizer measuring 23 x 4.22 x 4.2 m plus smaller sized accessories. The cargo was moved from Vadodara, Gujarat, India to Mumbai Port, India.

Despite many challenges like delays in readiness of the cargo, lashing points restrictions on the trailer and increase of the height making this job more critical, as the revised height was already close to the max height, which was feasible to pass through Mumbai city and reach at Mumbai port on committed transit time.

The project team at EXG highlights:

  • On the peculiar nature of the cargo, our engineering team suggested additional lashing points for the safety of cargo during road transportation.
  • Because of shortage of time, we on account of the manufacturer had to carry out export sea worthy packing on a short notice of 1 day prior to the oceanvessel berthing.
  • We managed to deliver the critical cargo in the shortage possible time and ensured there is no vessel detention. This was possible on account of our team of engineers, transport specialists, port handling and custom team backed by the packing team, who worked around the clock to make this happen.

The shipment was seamlessly handled by the EXG Team and the cargo was safely delivered and handled at Mumbai port in record time.
