Heavy winches fly from Malaysia to Turkmenistan

CNC Freight Services Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, arranged two air-charter flights of the giant AN124 cargo aircraft out of Singapore to Turkmenistan. The flights were operated by WWPC sponsor Ruslan International and the WWPC member for Turkmenistan, DGT Logistics, handled the unloading and transportation to the final job site approx. 70 km from Turkmenbashy airport.

Each flight was loaded with three units of winches totaling 95,000 kgs. Loading/offloading operations was done by external cranes in combination with the aifrcrafts special ramp equipment. In addition to the 6 units of winches, there were 150,000 kgs of equipment which was airfreighted with Cargolux 747 freighters out of Malaysia and Singapore.

The equipment was used for the Installation of Offshore Platform Facilities for DIYABEKIR Oilfield Development Project in Turkmenistan.

Based on the close coordination between all three parties, the whole operation went smoothly without any problem to the satisfaction of the project owner.
