Transformers and military vehicles transported in Greece

Celebrating their 50 years anniversary Cosmatos Group, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Greece, reported of significant projects handled by their experts:

Heavy transformer to North Macedonia

Just a few days before wrapping up a great year, Cosmatos Shipping Services was appointed to coordinate the reception of a transformer with weight 240 tons with dimensions of 10,09 x 4,12 x 4,31 meter.

This was a challenging operation that required a tandem lift by two 500 ton lifting capacity mobile cranes until the cargo was safely laid on the special truck for inland transportation to North Macedonia.

The project team from Cosmatos Group took care of the arriving ship’s husbandry, the unwelding/unlashing operation, the stevedoring and cranage as well as the transit customs formalities to North Macedonia.

Defense Logistics in Greece

From Thessaloniki Port the project team of Cosmatos Group arranged for the safe transport of military vehicles and containers to final destination in a Balkan State. The scope of work covered ship husbandry, port stevedoring, customs formalities, special road transport, O/G road permits, escorts and border clearance.
