Transporting Heavy Cargo in India by SARR Freights

SARR Freights, a member of the World Wide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India, recently completed a turnkey project transporting heavy cargo via road in North India. The cargo comprised of an LP Turbine Rotor, weighing 90 tons with dimensions of 8.8 x 4.65 x 4.1 6 m and a HP Turbine Module, weighing 95 tons and dimensions of 6 x 3.2 x 3.7 m, among other heavy pieces for the same project.

The haulage was from Anpara, Uttar Pradesh, and Haridwar, Uttrakhand, and included disassembling of the cargo, loading, transportation and unloading at the final destination. SARR Freights completed the project within a week, deploying the relevant equipment and labour, covering about 1000 kilometer distance.

SARR Freights has over three decades of experience in handling heavy power equipment, including transformers, turbines, stators, and generators for thermal and hydroelectric power projects. SARR Freights also has vast experience catering to the oil & gas, steel, coal, fertilizer, and defence sectors, and continues to transport cargo for the Indian Government and various other multinational corporations, despite the national lockdown.
