Combi Lift transports heavy ship sections

Combi Lift, a member of Harren & Partner Group, and also a member to the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network in Germany, is one of the leading experts in worldwide ocean transportation of heavy lift and project cargoes as well as project engineering. Beyond that the company focuses on offshore activities and niche markets.

Combi Lift accesses a fleet of heavy lift vessels (Ro-Ro, Flo-Flo, Lo-Lo) of various sizes, highly specialized semi-submersible dock ships, seagoing barge carriers and Pan Ocean deck carriers. With its headquarters in Bremen/Germany at the heart of the Harren & Partner Group, Combi Lift benefits from a wide scope of expertise at hands.

The MV “Papenburg” has an integrated pontoon which can be floated out, allowing Combi Lift to load in water less than two metres deep. When floated in, the pontoon serves as the main deck of the barge carrier and can be loaded from three sides in adequate water levels. However and wherever we load – “Papenburg” always sails without restrictions.

Combi Lift has acquired a contract for the transportation of ship building sections between yards in Hamburg, Rostock, Gdansk and the Meyer-Werft in Papenburg where the final assembly takes place. The maximum dimensions of these sections are abt. 40 m x 25 m x 25 m (up to 1.000 tons each).

Because the vessel is able to load and discharge at almost every pier in the North, Mediterranean and Baltic Sea, “Papenburg” is the ideal vessel for large Ro-Ro cargo in this area. Just like the fully assembled Liebherr LHM 800 – the largest mobile harbor crane in the market (from Rostock, Germany, to Bronka, Russia).
