Nurminen Logistics transports Heavy Converters through Finland in beautiful winter weather
Nurminen Logistics, member of the Cargo Equipment Experts CEE network in Finland, transported two converters weighting 95 tonnes with dimensions of 10,11 x 5,44 x 5,37 metres from the city of Outokumpu to the Port of Pori. From Pori Nurminen’s partner, member of the Worldwide Project Consortium WWPC for Germany, LS International Cargo, who is responsible for the whole project, continued transporting the converters to their final destination in Namibia.
While driving in Finland, the winter frosts stayed below -20 degrees during the transportation but it didn’t slow down this drive. Special and especially heavy transport transportations can be quite difficult in hard frost and cold weather also stresses the equipment. Photographer: Juha Mattila.
