Kaleido Logistics carries an extra-dimensioned auxiliary structure for the offshore industry

The characteristics and dimensions of the structure made necessary the use of a vessel specialized in this type of loads to carry out the transport. The structure was loaded in the port of Vigo in Spain for a voyage to the port of Hareid in Norway and will be used for offshore activities.

Kaleido Logistics, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Spain, was responsible for the lashing and welding services of the load as well as for the agency and chartering of the vessel. Furthermore in this case, the contribution of Kaleido in calculating engineering from the technical office was also particularly relevant as it provided a different approach to the workpiece position in the ship’s hold: the loading was by the ship’s hold being kept open due to the great height of the cargo. A workable alternative which facilitated the load, bringing stability and security to the project for a piece of more than 250 tons and large volume.
