Wangfoong Transportation Limited (Hong Kong), member to the Worldwide Project Consortium WWPC for Hong Kong, specializing in project cargo, reports about a number of significant heavy and outsized cargo projects the company managed.
Wangfoong Transportation was established in 1980 and has been engaged in oversized and heavy cargo as well as project cargo. They are equipment owner, operator, and have headquarter in Hong Kong with branches in China.
Drilling Equipment for Subway construction
For an air import project shipment totaling: 7 pieces @ 14,850 kg of drilling equipment for underground and subway construction projects. The longest dimension of drilling equipment is 10.78 x 1.23 x 1.37 m at 7,000 kg. The cargo originated in Frankfurt, Germany arriving at Hong Kong International Airport. Wangfoong Transportation arranged and supervised the unloading with crane onto flatbed trucks, including lashing, and door delivery to the construction site in Hong Kong.
Heavy Oil Water Cooling Power Transformer
Wangfoong Transportation completed another challenging project cargo for the world’s leading energy solutions and transportation company. The shipment composed of the main body of an oil water cooling power transformer with a weight of 168 tons, dimensions of 6.9 x 4.5 x 5.1 m, and 65 pallets of transformer oil & containers. Wangfoong Transportation received the cargo from the mother vessel and successfully delivered it to consignee’s site by barges and heavy-lift floating crane.
Another two huge transformer transported
The company announced the successful delivery of another 2 sets of oil water cooling auto transformers (main-body weight 168 tons each), wooden cases, and its containers from Shanghai to Hong Kong. Wangfoong Transportation went to great length to coordinate the delivery, prepare statement of work as well as risk assessment. They provided barges to receive cargo from the inbound mother vessel and discharged transformers and accessories to trailers at consignee site by using heavy-lift floating crane.
Event managers of “Longines Hong Kong Master 2016” at Asia World Expo Hong Kong
Wangfoong Transportation organized the complicated logistics services for this entertainment event – The Longines Hong Kong Master 2016. The services included import customs declarations, inland transportation, unloading on site, providing labor for building up and dismantling seating, grandstands, VIP lounge and staging. They also assisted with applications for work permits for overseas labor from HK Immigration Department, as well as organized fork-lift truck operator courses. At the end of the event, they arranged the full take down, repacking, reloading and re-export of the cargo back to the various countries of origin. Wangfoong Transportation is honored to have served this remarkable event for the past 3 years.
Logistics for the new building of Cathay Pacific Catering Service Phase II expansion in Hong Kong
The company completed the logistics services for construction project of Cathay Pacific Catering Service Phase II expansion in Hong Kong. The services included project cargo delivery for the refrigeration system, storage and delivery management, provide crane equipment at the construction site, inventory management for the bulk materials. Wangfoong Transportation not only provide delivery services, but also the dedicate planning to maximize the delivery capacity to help the client save significant logistics costs.
Bulk cargo to Lamma Island Power Station, Hong Kong
Wangfoong Transportation delivered a dedicated steel structural section with 1,320 cbm originated from Shanghai, China and discharged to Lamma Island Power Station in Hong Kong. Upon the mother vessel’s arrival Hong Kong, they arranged their own barges to collect midstream, with protective dunnage and lashing ready for receiving. Since the cargo were with different sizes, Wangfoong Transportation arranged the receiving with load plan to maximize the cargo hold space on their own barges. They overcame the challenge of changing weather with heavy showers, and completed the discharge in good orders at Lamma Island Power Station.
