Nurminen Logistics in the wild in Siberia with oversized papermachine part

Nurminen Logistics recently sent one of their skilled drivers and a modern truck carrying oversized part for a papermachine, with width of 4,20 meters, from Sweden to Bratsk in Siberia. Including the way back to Finland the journey totalled over 14000 kilometres and it took more than four weeks’ time. This was the farthest destination by road within the 125 years of company history. Nurminen Logistics has handled a significant projects to Bratsk by railway within the last couple of years, but this particular load was too wide to be taken by rail.

The transport went very well, as planned, the equipment and the driver endured the rough Siberian conditions well – although the temperature dropped down to -42 degrees Celcius at its worst.
